About the artist.
Tim Yorke-Dunne has developed a reputation for capturing the essence of some of the wildest parts of the West Country in his landscape paintings. His work reflects the dramatic nature of Dartmoor and the wild coasts of Devon and Cornwall, inviting viewers into a world of natural beauty and inspiration.
Early Life
Tim originates from south Dartmoor, and he spent much of his childhood on the moors and on the coast and retains a deep connection with the landscape and the atmosphere of the region. He studied Art & Design at college in Devon before leaving the region to study at Oxford.
Artistic Journey
On returning to the area in 2010, Tim rekindled his love for painting and he now specialises in landscapes in oil paint on canvas. Tim’s techniques and style have evolved over the years in order to emulate the atmospheric vistas that the moor and coast provide. Tim has a true passion to paint how a chosen scene makes him feel and this is often apparent in his work.
